Early Childhood Center Curriculum

The early childhood years are exciting and powerful years for building the foundations for a Christian life. Timothy's Early Childhood Center provides a varied curriculum to help build these foundations:

Jesus Time
Chapel
Language Development
Pre-Reading Skills
Pre-Math skills
Music exploration
Large motor skills
Fine motor skills
Sensory investigation
Socialization skills
Self-help skills

The goal of all Timothy Early Childhood (ECC) and Timothy Elementary classes is to provide a loving and developmentally appropriate environment so that each child will grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, academically, and mentally. By the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, the Timothy ECC staff will:

1. Nurture developmental readiness skills for a successful school experience.

2. Provide experiences in Christian living both in formal settings such as the classroom or Chapel time, and informal settings such as the playground and learning centers.

3. Offer opportunities to explore individual interests and differences through a wide variety of activities in a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

4. Provide experiences outside the school setting to further explore principles and concepts learned in class.

5. Encourage children and their families to accept God's unconditional love as it is experienced through His Word and the loving, caring staff at Timothy School and Church.

6. Maintain ongoing communication between parents and teachers through newsletters, parent meetings, conferences and other parent participation opportunities.

7. Present lessons in ways that each child can learn and experience success.
